Essence of Breema: February 2007

excerpts from classes at the Breema Center

The language of emanation is precise. It does not miscommunicate, and it is not misinterpreted. Because emanation is direct from your True nature to yourself. When you practice Breema, if you see that Existence is manifesting itself, and you see that the recipient is also Existence manifesting itself, the concepts of “me” and “mine” disappear. Then, through the emanation that is received, the recipient can become familiar with their forgotten aspect—the essential reality of who they are.

The wisdom of everything we teach at the Breema Center is not on the surface. For example, we talk about No Judgment. But we are all filled up with judgments. No Judgment becomes the key that lets you see how much judgment you have. No Extra can show you how much extra you have. At the same time, all your extra and all your judgment are ripples on the surface of the ocean, but not the depth. The ripples on the surface are full of all the junk people have thrown in there. It’s not even your own junk. But the ocean itself is pure and clean. And that is your reality. So when you see the ripples, you don’t have to become identified with them, because you can see that there is a whole ocean. There is a lot of extra. But I am.

You can’t solve a problem with the wrong tool. When a shovel is needed, you have to use a shovel. When a pick is needed, you have to use a pick. This is so simple to understand. But the mind is not capable of understanding. You can use it to philosophize. You can use it to imagine. You can use it to conceptualize. But it cannot give you understanding. For understanding, you need something else. Your Being has to participate. And your Being is not words. You have to taste your own existence in the moment. And how do you taste it? By letting go of fascination with the mind. That’s why we need to come to the breath, to the body.6 The language of emanation is precise. It does not miscommunicate, and it is not misinterpreted.
