Essence of Breema: April 2010
excerpts from classes at the Breema Center
What can you do in this moment? You first have to organize yourself to be available for this moment. How do you organize yourself? Bring your mind, which is somewhere else, to your body. When you bring mind and body together, your feelings will come in. Now you are available to the moment. We cannot pretend we don't have attachments. But they cannot prevent us from being in this moment.

We all have so many things in our mind—business, home, family, friends, so many obligations. While you are practicing Breema, accept that these few minutes are only for you. You have to be convinced that this time is yours. That makes it Breema.

Say you see the sink is full of dishes, and you think you'd better wash them. And you do it. It has nothing to do with you. You used your life energy with no real income for yourself.
But if you first create willingness in yourself, there is a benefit for you. "Since I'm going to wash these dishes anyway, I wish to use this as an opportunity to bring my mind and body together."
If you do something because you're forced to, or because of fear, you don't benefit. But you could do your job, do your chores, take care of your obligations and do something meaningful for your life at the same time. No matter what you're paid, your real income is great, because it supports you to eventually grow in understanding, and understanding is permanent.
