When you take a picture, the shutter opens for a fraction of a second, light comes in and allows what you see through the lens to be registered. We also need light to see things as they are. The name of this light is I am. When we come to body breathes, we have a chance to have a tiny glimpse of reality. The subject is not the body or the breath—it’s that which exists. We receive it as a taste—a taste of is-ness. Existence is one unified whole, and there is only one is.
